We would like to take the time to tell you about some wonderful fundraising and volunteering being undertaken by some of our staff here at The Kimberley Hotel.
One of our Bistro team members, Lucie Blackburn, is completing a sky dive for MacMillan Cancer Support on June 1st. The charity is very close to Lucie’s heart as her father has recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer. She managed to raise £405 in less than a week and has well surpassed her £500 target!
She has since added an event and will also be shaving off her hair in order to raise money for this worthy cause!
Lucie is now aiming for a new target of £2000 and is well on her way with her money raised now at £821 as we “went to print”.
Her brother is also a valued member of the team here at The Kimberley, so all the staff are right behind her in her challenge, but we would like to see if we can extend that support for Lucie. Thank you in advance from Lucie and all of us at The Kimberley!

In addition, our General Manager, Danielle Wilson, is volunteering with a charity that works with the Harrogate homeless project.
Corrina and Friends is a brand new concept for Harrogate. It will be the first Pay As You Feel cafe, eradicating food waste with surplus food from local organisations. This will open on May 1st with proceeds going to Help the Homeless and Vulnerable charity.
There are lots of local business involved with this project too. To find out more please visit their social media sites:
