1. Christmas Adventures at Stockeld Park

With an array of Winter activities on offer, there’s fun for all the family at Stockeld Park this Christmas!

Highlights include:
Winter Illuminations in the Enchanted Forest – Here you will find almost a mile of path which meanders through a magical woodland wonderland of dazzling light effects, a captivating soundscape and creative installations!
This is Yorkshire’s premier light event and it is filled with mysterious characters and exciting themed play, lining the meandering forest path.
There is so much to do for children of all ages and much to inspire the imagination of young and old alike.

Outdoor Covered Ice Skating Rink – The 630 square meter real ice rink is set in the magnificent parkland of Stockeld Park and fringed by the twinkling lights of the magical Enchanted Forest.
Open through October, November and into the festive season until 8 January 2018.

2. See a Panto!

This year’s family pantomime at Harrogate Theatre is Jack and the Beanstalk

Packed with everyone’s favourite pantomime characters, this enchanting and spellbinding tale combines spectacular scenery, jokes galore and magic and sparkle.

This makes an ideal Christmas gift too, as the panto runs right through to January!

3. Visit a Christmas Fair

We’re still on a high from the buzz of Harrogate Christmas Market and the festivities continue this week with Ripley Castle Christmas Fair

This is an indoor festive fair held in a luxury heated marquee in an Historic Castle courtyard at Ripley Castle, featuring 155 top companies selling everything you could want to thrill family and friends this Christmas!

There are also two restaurants at the fair and free parking in the village car park with a free minibus running from 9.30am.

The fair runs from Thursday 22nd to Sunday 25th November
9.30am-5.30pm
except Sunday 9.30am-4.00pm

4. Glow at RHS Harlow Carr Gardens

Glow is back to wow the crowds once more at Harlow Carr this Christmas!

Enjoy the gardens in a different light this Winter as special lighting effects bring a touch of magic to the most northerly garden in Harrogate.

Take the illuminated trail around the magnificent trees and shrubs as dusk falls and see the lake, Winter Walk, Streamside and Doric columns as you’ve never seen them before!

Running Thursday–Saturdays from 4.30pm – 8pm, with the last admission at 7pm.
Reduced entry applies after 4.30pm.

5. See Santa at Mother Shipton’s

Mother Shipton’s is opening for the first time ever this Christmas, where children will be able to meet Santa and enjoy a truly magical experience!

Children will meet Santa and then choose a present from his magical workshop.
They will be greeted by the Head Elf for story time and there will be a photo opportunity in Santa’s Sleigh!
Create a wish to hang on Mother Shipton’s Wishing Tree and post a letter to the North Pole too.

PLEASE NOTE – Only part of the park near the main entrance is open for this event.
Visitors WILL NOT have access to the Cave, Petrifying Well, or adventure playground.
